She doesn’t remember her past, only her training. She can’t talk, not that a good slave should speak out of turn. None of that matters when she wakes up in the warm, rustic room. Her new master is distant but kind. There’s only one problem: he doesn’t want her.
Longing for the shackles of safety, she pulls from the last dregs of her will to prove her worth as a slave. It seems to be working. He responds first to her body and next to her submission. The secrets of his past haunt the cabin, fraying the tightening bond between Master and slave, but it is her own memories that may finally unravel it.
This book contains a bonus short story Escape, set in the same dark erotica world.
WARNING:
This book contains explicit scenes of sex, including dubious consent and captivity situations. The BDSM does not conform to literary conventions, making it sometimes more realistic, and other times not. This is a work of fiction not appropriate for anyone uncomfortable with these situations or anyone under the age of eighteen.
This was my first dive into the pool of dark erotic romance, and I'd have to say that it made a pleasantly naughty splash.
At first I didn't know what to think about this book, I am still fairly new to the erotic genre and have just recently started reading more of it. Hear Me was truly a deliciously naughty story filled with sensuality, submission, and some hot scenes.
Melody was a Slave/submissive and when she wakes up in a white room with a mysterious man standing in the door way she automatically assumes it is her new master. What she does not know is that she has re-entered the world of "the normal", well sort of. She is so surprised by the kindness and care that this man is showing her that she thinks it is a dream or will come crumbling down at any moment.
Melody doesn't speak because her mind has been seriously messed with and she needs time to heal, I love when she starts to open up and trust Sam. She starts to heal with Sam's help and become herself again... that is until Sam's brother Brenden makes an appearance and tries to stir things up.
With this being said I am not going to touch on the ending, you will have to read Hear Me to find out if Melody will stay with Sam, turn to Brenden, or abandon them both all together are return to her normal life... or what is left of it.
I really enjoyed this book, I wish it were longer though. I love Warren's writing style. This is the second book I've read by Skye and I am interested to see what else she has out there.
