Rose Zarelli, self-proclaimed word geek and angry girl, has some CONFESSIONS to make... #1: I'm livid all the time. Why? My dad died. My mom barely talks. My brother abandoned us. I think I'm allowed to be irate, don't you?

#2: I make people furious regularly. Want an example? I kissed Jamie Forta, a badass guy who "might" be dating a cheerleader. She is now enraged and out for blood. Mine.

#3: High school might as well be Mars. My best friend has been replaced by an alien, and I see red all the time. (Mars is red and "seeing red" means being angry-get it?)

Here are some other vocab words that describe my life: Inadequate. Insufferable. Intolerable.

(Don't know what they mean? Look them up yourself.) (Sorry. That was rude.)

You just DO NOT understand… that ending may have literally killed me and ruined me reading ALL other books until I find OUT WHAT HAPPENS next. Okay, so maybe I’m OVER exaggerating but that is EXACTLY how I felt when I ended this book.

This is a brilliant story about a teenage girl named Rose who has suffered the terrible loss of her Father dying while in the army. After that her brother left for college, and she doesn’t get to see him much. ON top of that her Mother is still grieving and doesn’t pay her much attention either. All that and the fact that this is her first year of High School is totally stressful. Rose is the “to herself/loner” type of girl and her best friend Tracey is the polar opposite. Her best friend has turned into this popularity, status obsessed, self-absorbed monster and I hate the way she treated Rose in the beginning.

Rose doesn’t care about having sex, partying, or getting drunk… what she does care about is Jamie the mysterious Senior who doesn’t care what people think. Rose thinks he is sort of into her until she finds out about her brother asking him to watch over her and that he is dating the Cheer-Witch Regina. OMG I hate Regina and don’t for the life of me understand why Jamie SO FREAKING vaguely leads Rose on only to confuse her (be straight up dude). Anyways Jamie really surprised me in a good way on into the book and he redeemed himself.

Rose tries so hard to stay at peace with her best friend Tracey but Rose thinks that Tracey deserves better than Matt who just wants to have sex with her and is a player. Rose is just such a great friend… she tries to tell Tracey the truth and give her good advice but Tracey is too stuck up Matt’s butt to see straight. When she finally realizes Rose is just looking out for her… well I can’t very well tell you that can I?

Regina definitely gets what is coming to her, she is so horrible writing 911 Bitch on Rose’s locker and doing other facetious things like that. Regina needed her ass kicked… plain and simple. So finally when the book nears the end I was SO SURE that Rose was going to get her back and it ended with a MAJOR cliffhanger… and I sat there a minute and thought that can’t be the end of the book. I mean I was so convinced there was more that I re-downloaded it from NetGalley to find out but no that was the ending afterall. I WILL DEFINITELY be reading Book #2! You should go read this now! Very enjoyable and a VERY quick read.
